Taking deep breaths is a simple technique I teach to all my clients. It is an effective way of gaining space to allow you to internally compose yourself by calming both the mind and body. Doing this method of taking deep breaths will help you reconnect with yourself and gain control of your emotions before responding or engaging to outside stimuli.

Let's begin..

Slowly, focus on your breathing.

Begin to deepen your breath.

 

Inhale deeply, slowly — 1... 2... 3...

Exhale slowly, deeply — 1... 2... 3...

 

Continue breathing

 

On your exhale,

Release all that no longer serves you.

Now, close your eyes

and take 3 deep cleansing breaths.

Feel that sense of overwhelming calmness embracing you.
